Should I clean my beetles off after they ate like a apple so that won't get fungus or stuff like that cause it sometimes gets messy

You could clean the cage but cleaning the beetles could harm them depending on how you go about it. Some beetles die from shock if you run them under water for a few seconds.

okay cuz I clean them by soaking in water then drying them off in a paper towel
