Stag beetle/rhino beetle BREEDING substrate, $5 a bag. Could fit up to 5 in a box. Willing to do $30.60 for 5 bags shipped. This is only for BREEDING purposes. This substrate is composed of COMPOSTED hardwood. I had three rhinoceros beetle on this substrate but they died, but an other 10 on it and they were fine. Not sure if it was chance or the substrate but it is worth noting. For STAG beetle breeding, this is perfect to get them to lay eggs, as it is mostly composted hardwood. I know of somebody using this substrate for Lucanus elaphus larvae and they are at a good size/weight.

Many flower beetle larvae have thrived on this substrate. It is 100% composted leaves not mixed with any wood. It has some sand visible in it but I talked to some of the best in the hobby and it should be no issue.

These bags are made to fit 5 in a box, so they are packed flat. Please be advised.
