Salty Wood?

I have been offered wood from two ash trees that were killed by salting. Will salted wood harm larva? Does the wood have hypersalinity if it is killed this way?

How is the salt applied to the wood? If it’s possible to wash off with water (or soak out) then it might be fine (you can also use one or two larvae to test it)
