any tips?

You can try providing them with the wood in which you found them in. If there is not an abundant supply of it, you can try mixing it with other wood types to not shock the larvae as well as supplying more nutrition for them.

i would but the trees i find them in are usuaslly freshly dead and still hard, if im lucky i can get like half the 32oz cup so idk?

Theres always the method of using a hatchet to remove the segment of tree that you have found it in and let it grow in there. You can then put this segment of log into a plastic tub with air holes that is filled with substrate. Make sure to mist it periodically. What is the substrate comprised of that you put them in before?

Certain species of longhorn do eat rotted wood, like Mallodon dasystomus.

These are often easier to keep than the ones which feed on freshly dead trees, and I recommend looking for prionid grubs in decaying logs as well.

hmm i see ive noticed all my larvae are found in freshly trees so there still hard and ya ive also seen people keep mallodon in more decayed wood

get wood flakes, put in a hard plastic container, and mash it down until its rock hard, and slightly dry.

(experience from breeding my Derobrachus) which are large l2s
