Protein requirements

regarding protein and "beetles jellies" ....

what almost instantly came to my mind is: how about the natural ready made product called "Royal Jelly" ?

it is the highly nutritious stuff which bees feed the mother-qeen - sort of the cream of creams, full of minerals, vitamins etc.

apparently it is so effective that even humans consume it in plenty (it is sold in form of capsules).

the reason I thought about it - because I recall coming across FRESH Royal Jelly in one of shops.

yeah, it is quite expensive actually - but for those who are crazy about razing giant size specimens and can afford it - why not, right?

especially if it is an effort to breed some rare or special species.

(may be not feed them this expensive stuff daily, but at least once or twice - I think wouldn't harm the wallet much)

so, once again - I request those who have experience or knows anything about it - please share !

What popular pet beetle groups require protein (usually in the form of dog food) as larvae?
The Species Goliathus, Mecynorrhina´s, Eudicella and Lucanid Larvae.

Some need Extra protein some not.

Extra Protein, can be used (not too much Mites explodes in the mate) in Fishfood form,

or smaller Species Chlorocalla (Smaragdesthes) Larva for bigger Larva like Goliathus, Mecy and Eudicella.

The Larva hunted for another Laevas (and their own sisters) to the L2 Stadium.

In L3 form they get relaxing...

I hope you understand my bad English...

Greetings, Mashku.

Many grubs ignore fish food. Larvae as food for grubs of larger species sounds reasonable but hasn't actually worked for anyone. They'll eat other grubs and even crickets but it doesn't end with good results.
