Phanaeus vindex have arrived!

Just had some phanaeus vindex (rainbow dung beetles) arrive at my doorstep! I'm going to be breeding them soon and will have larvae available!

Any tips on breeding and care? I think I have the basics and have a ready supply of rabbit dung, but any additional advice is welcome!

I really like the Phanaeus beetles but I only have them dried. Never raised them since I didn't want to deal with dung. People have reported catching them using pitfall traps baited with swine feces.

There was an article I read about baiting for Phanaeus beetles in Texas. They used many pitfall traps and experimented with Human, Canine and Swine feces. Apparently the swine feces attracted the most beetles. Maybe it's due to all the feral hogs out in the field compared to lower number or dogs and humans?

In south Texas near the mex border they trapped Phanaeus adonis in a pitfall trap baited with swine feces. I would love to have a Phanaeus adonis specimen in my collection.
