Nature Zone Bites

Acro

Cerambycidae
I bought some Nature Zone Iguana Bites that I found on clearance. I got them as food for feeder insects. However, after looking at them, they reminded me of beetle jelly. What are the forum's thoughts on feeding Nature Zone Iguana Bites to beetles?

Carrageenan is dirived from seaweed. I have questions mainly about the ingrediants higher up on the list (more of them in the product) dried egg product and the maltodextrin; maltodextrin probably from corn. I think that beetles are highly attracted to sugars, particularly nectars and tree sap. If you're in a pinch I swear by Orin's method offeeding with just diluted maple syrup, 2 100% maple syrup :1 water. If you feel the need add a dash of protein powder. My favorite part is that I get real maple syrup for my pancakes!!! If you want to be super stingy, or super wilderness provider try tapping a sugar maple, or any maple really during taping season and store it in the fridge.

See how quckily the mold in soil. I would try it with larvae before I gave it to my beetles. IMO. This sounds a bit like a dressed up V8 juice or 100% fruit juice (I've been giving the females Naked Juice since I ran out of beetle jelly, I filter it), possibly try those if you're in the mood to experiment.

Maybe I'm dying to try these things, sorry!

Oh and I want to try ckricket jelly/ water at some point.
