Name That Plant!

I've had this plant for a very long time now. My girlfriend got it for me about 2 years ago and I still am not sure what type of plant it is. I have thought in the past it could be a type of Japanese Maple Tree, and was skeptical of thinking it was a Bonsai. Any ideas?

It's Pachira aquatica, a common indoor tree that tolerates low light conditions. Commonly called the money tree.
