My scarabaeidae larvae has died.

Hi all, finally my two larvae of Oryctes died: this morning I look and saw them squashed, as if they were consumed by themselves, and with a dark colour and dry, so I think the substrate I did was not suitable for them, reading out about, I found text that says that is better to use the soil were they were found.

I don´t know what happend becouse to try out the best substrate I put one of the larvae in their original soil mixed with wood debris, and the other in soil created by me; And both died.

Let me know what I did wrong.

I aded chopped wood, and keep the substrate humid and with low ventilation, I didn´t aded leaves becouse in the place I found them weren´t leaves, so I prefer to match the soil were I found.
