Most Reliable Places to Find Beetles?

Hi! I’m an insect keeper and am learning about the world of beetles! I’d love to have one of my own, but I have no clue where to start. I researched substrate and environmental requirements but where do I obtain a beetle? Would it be possible at a reptile show? Or should I try online? Thank you for any help

They are very hard to find at expos for sure. Your best bet would be to search online.

Usually the only beetles available at expos are darklings, which are very easy to care for. A good way to start would be to purchase some mealworms from your local pet store and experiment with their care, as they are inexpensive but entertaining to watch.
