Mold in substrate bag

So I ordered some fermented wood substrate from insect brothers and on the bag there is a lot of white mold at the top of the bag the bag is sealed and I am wondering if I need to throw it away or if there is any way to salvage it. In the future shout I dry it out and then keep it in a sealed bag and rehydrate it when needed.

I would completely dry out the substrate if you don't plan on using your substrate anytime soon

Sterilization requires heat. My experience with mycology is that fungi live outdoors, cold and or dry conditions may result in simple hibernation

of the fungal organism. Use an oven on low heat. Be careful. I am not responsible for any fires. By reading this, you agree not to sue.

When did you make a purchase? Was it right before you posted this????? If not, this thread seems quite misleading as if they sell moldy substrate 😅
