manggo tree rotten wood

i recently have found rottennwood nearby my house and it is from manggo tree that had been sit there almost 4-5 year i think can i used it as substrate?? i can crushed it using my hand

I have no idea if your larvae will find it palatable. Try it and let us know if it works for you.

Just make sure you're careful around living mango tree material so you don't get urushiol on yourself.

You shouldn't need to ferment it if it's already broken down to the point where it crumbles in your hands. The only reason you would want to further ferment rotten wood is if you were rearing rhinoceros or flower beetles that prefer wood that's broken down to the point of being more of a rich soil or compost.
