I am taking a trip in June to Arizona for a week and I wanted to know if it was legal to bring back live insects on the plane from AZ to Connecticut?

I heard from a reliable source that this is illegal, but people still do it.
I've brought back live things before, and so have a lot of people I know. Don't know if I should ship them or not.

I'll probably just end of shipping them the last day to ensure I don't get them confiscated at the security check.
That's a good idea. Are you going to try and find Dynastes grantii?

! I know I'm out of season for them because they usually fly in August but I'm definetly gonna look for any larvae and snatch any adults that may have emerged early. There's also Hemiphileurus illatus, Xyloryctes thestalus and Lucanus mazama that are in season in June! I'm looking for, rhino beetles, stag beetles, sand roaches, dung beetles and any other cool insects!

Thanks! If I find a lot of one thing I'll probaly sell some here! I've heard there's rhino beetles flying at gas stations at night all the time!

Legal issues would depend on the type of invertebrate
It'd mostly be collecting rhino, stag and dung beetles along with sand and other cockroaches

Technically, only the dung beetles wouldn't need a permit, people do check bags or ship to themselves though..
Shipping the insects on the last day of the trip would be my best bet I think.
