ISO: Alaus oculatus, Eyed click beetle

Hi everyone! As the subject implies, I am looking for a couple live specimems of these big brawny beauts. I have always wanted to see some, but never have. Now that I'm a little more familiar with beetle breeding, I'd like to try my hand with these. I have seen a lot of people with pictures of these on my facebook news feed lately, so it seems it may be a good time of year to send out a want ad. If you can get your hands on a few live adults, please let me know!

Thanks,

Eric

I'm not aware of anyone having bred them from egg to adult.  Of course, it's possible that not many hobbyists have even tried.  The larvae of Alaus are predatory on the larvae of other beetles.  Reproducing them through the full life cycle in captivity would certainly be a notable accomplishment.
