Importing dorcus alcides from Japan

I have a male dorcus alcides as a pet in Japan, and I'm looking for information on obtaining a permit / how to ship legally when I come back to the US in the spring.

I emailed the USDA, but I wanted to ask directly if anyone here knew about this species.

Legally, I doubt there's a way for you to bring it over.

The us has a pretty big ban on all plant eating insects into the us. But if it is next spring and this beetle is adult I don't think you will have an issue.
