If I buy from a foreign seller like Titan Monster Beetles, can I import a native species like D tityus without trouble?

Nope. The problem of importation of live organisms not only lies with whether that species can adapt to new environment, and also causes a harm to native species, but also other parasitic organisms (including insects, ticks, plant parts, pathogens, etc.) that is attached to THAT organism(s). So even if D. tityus is already occur in the U.S., does not mean you can import it from Japan, China, Taiwan, or elsewhere.

Plus, why would you want to buy a US native from a breeder in Taiwan? I am sure the shipping charges are extremely high. If you do not want to find your own beetles, then I think Peter has some available on bugsincyberspace right now.

There is Kingdom of Beetles, which I think is also in Taiwan. I also saw beetles being sold at pet markets in Shanghai, so there may be more beetle breeders in China that do not ship internationally.
