Hercules Beetle food

Has anyone ever tried using organic fertilizers as substrate (and food) for a Hercules Beetle? the fertilizer is made of coco peat mixed with hog and chicken manure, and some beneficial microbes to boost rate of decomposition. will this work?

You have mentioned what is in there.

A lot of protein is good for larvae, though, since chicken is the one caused of protein, that will attract a lot of pest, including ants and mites/fleas. Ants will eat the larvae easily. very harmful pest while in breeding project.
Actually, he mentioned chicken manual.

Actually the chicken manure is not normally going to attract ants as there is no chicken present. Ants are not a part of the natural breakdown of manure to the chemical components as if they are bacteria. Rather the fertilizer, one should use as an alternative to making your own substrate, Organic Potting Soil. An important component of good organic potting soil is wood products. Specifically the Miracle Grow Organic Potting soil that I just purchased contains bark from trees in Georgia, USA.
