Good news...my single Hemiphileurus illatus has now laid 9 eggs! I placed a piece of dog food in its container a few days ago and it ate the entire thing in 2 days. I have also been feeding it fruit and sugar-water mixture. Today I blended some of that mixture with some roach guts. Hopefully she eats it up because I don't want to smell it tomorrow

Nice work Peter, congrats!

Wood/leaf mixture of oak (in compost substrate) for larvae. The female is still alive. I've harvested eggs twice now for a total of about 15.

Do they need a protein component in the early instars?
