hatching egg??

What type of egg?

For most of Scarabaeoidea, you should start to be able to see the larvae developing through the membrane of the egg. The egg should look white to light-yellowish.

Bad eggs will usually turn a bad color like black or gray, they can look shriveled and easily grow mold.

Usually when it gets that color it means the substrate is too moist. Are you sure that your substrate was free of pests? I sometimes hear that earthworm eggs are mistaken for beetle eggs. Just an idea!

i have not seen the earthworm in my substrate because i always sieve it before i use...i think my substrate to wet should i replace the substrate and move it in to different container with fresh substrate??

If you want, or let it dry out. Mine was too wet before and the eggs were too yellow. I let it dry and they're fine now so I just lightly mist the substrate daily.
