Hairy beetle

I found this hairy beetle in the rainforest in Panama.

Can anyone tell it's name? I thought it might be a chafer but can't find a match on the internet.

I can add that it's about 5 mm long.

Hopefully this will make it easier to identify.

It's not a scarab. Have you tried looking at different chrysomelids for a match?

Well I'm totally new to beetle world so I'll have to go on the internet and do a search to see what comes up.
