Goliath Beetle Grubs For Sale

Hello Everyone,

I'm selling off some of my L3 Goliathus goliatus larvae - $75 $70 ea.

They are healthy and I have reared them past the more difficult periods so they will be easier to care for.

As far as I can tell this will be the first public, legal US sale of Goliath grubs since the USDA permitting change, for sure of grubs that were "born in the USA".

- Continental US only

- Buy 5 and I will make sure at least one is a male

- Live arrival guarantee only with next day shipping.

- Serious buyers only please - first come first served

..I've been waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. If your area is still freezing at night it might not be a good idea to ship to you yet.

No permits, no inspections, no lengthy and dangerous overseas shipping!

The nice thing is this is 100% legal - one of the largest beetle species in the world and we FINALLY get to experience them without costly containment facilities or without having to keep them hidden!

Either ask me questions about rearing and pupation, or follow Jonathan Lai's: "For the Love of Rhinoceros and Stag Beetles" - Third Edition

Thank you,
Steven Barney

These were supposed to be posted at $70. I've been correcting the price when people order but figured I'd fix it here while I was thinking about it. Few more left if anyone else is interested.

Not directly related to the sale but what did you have to do to import? I was reading the thread about them being deregulated and was curious about the process.

...(had some substrate issues that I think I have fixed)..

Issues with the substrate used for rearing the larvae, or that which is used for egg-laying?

I had run out of (and sold) most of my good substrate and had to produce more. I had tried different options with dirt and compost but this didn't work as well.

For rearing, egg-laying, or both?  Judging from the publications that I've read on the subject, standard beetle substrate ("compost" comprised of decayed wood particles) works well for Goliathus for both rearing as well as oviposition.  Maybe some decayed leaves as well?

I've just logged into this forum on a whim after not lurking here for years and I see this... is this real, am I dreaming? Do you think youll be selling more in the coming months?
