Hey y'all, I've been wondering about using fruit baits to attract beetles. I'm specifically interested in Gymnetis Thula and Strategus species since they're in the area (at least according to inaturalist). Has anyone here used fruit baiting with any real success? I don't have a light setup or the time to really go look for them and want something I can sort of leave in the yard, but a couple days with a peach and banana mix mash has so far only resulted in crushed hopes and furrowed brows. If you have successfully used fruit baits for beetles, how'd you go about doing it?
