ello from south carolina

Hello everybody. My name is Jace and I am a superworm beetle breeder. I keep track of each one and give them their own names. I name all of them as larvae when I can't really tell their gender, so occasionally I'll get masculine names on female beetles (like Thomas). I've documented each one carefully, so all of their dates and places of pupation and eclosion are known to me. The newest beetle that eclosed is Michael (who is also a girl, lol) and the most recent one to die is Jambalaya (rest in peace little buddy). That's enough about me and my beetles for now, so bye!

Confirmation: Jambalaya was male and he died on the 27th of August. He pupated on the 23rd of July and eclosed on the 7th of August, exactly 20 days before his death. His exact cause of death is unknown, but he was in a resting position when I found his body, which means he departed peacefully without any struggle.

Thomas pupated on the 21 of August and eclosed on the 6th of September. Michael, coincidentally, pupated and eclosed on the exact same days as Thomas. Thomas still hasn't quite been paired up with Roura yet since she's still unhardened

Full names of all the beetles mentioned below:
Jambalaya August Palmer (Also coincidentally, his middle name is August and eclosed in August, even though he was named in May)

Roura Namboinensis Palmer, male

Thomas Sankara Palmer, female (yes, she's named after THE Thomas Sankara)

Michael Jackson Palmer, female (You can guess who she's named after)

Wolfeng "Wolfie" Partngze (pronounced Parnzeh) Palmer, male

Genghis Thetanka Palmer, male
