Hi, I'm brand new at the beetle hobby, but I had some major success - caught 4 females and one male Dynastes tityus at my lights last summer and got a lot of eggs from the females. Now I have about 110 grubs and that's way more than I want to fool with. If I'm going to sell them, I need to be able to tell people what instar they are. Can anyone tell me how to make that determination? They range in size from a few milimeters to around 3 centimeters in length. And if there's a way to distinguish male from female, I'd appreciate if anyone can tell me that too. Thanks!
