Dynastes hyllus artificial cell

So, I was checking my larvae and ended up accidentally wrecking my Dynastes hyllus pupal cell. It was cool to see my first pre-pupa, though.

So, I made an artifical pupal cell out of oasis floral foam. Just to be sure, I was going to ask opinions on whether it looks too narrow or not. I also made a horizontal cell and hoping they make horizontal and not vertical. I believe it was horizontal..

I can take a picture when I get home. Last I checked last night when I widened the cell it's in the same state.
