Dorcus Titanus Breeding Questions

Hi all, this is my first time owning a species of stag beetles and i chose dorcus titanus, i have an adult male and female who are both housed in seperate containers for the time being and they are both eating very regularly (i have heard this is a sign they are ready to mate). i have a few questions as i want to get this right.

Q1: do i specifically need flake soil in order for my female to produce larvae, their enclosures currently have a bottom layer of soil 25% and a top layer of coconut fibre with white rotten wood flakes mixed in 75%, i understand i need white rotten logs and have those on standby to place in a breeding container. would this soil mix be ok?

Q2: with the male being extremely aggressive is there any way to prevent him from killing the female after mating?

Q3: should i first place the female into the breeding enclosure then place in the male or vice versa, also should i monitor them closely untill i know they have mated in order to remove the male before he decides to attack her?

Q4: if the female does manage to mate successfully and lay eggs how long should i wait until moving anything in the substrate, EG moving larvae to seperate containers?

Q5: what is a good medium to rear the larvae in that is fairly easy to obtain?

I would be incrediby appreciative to anyone who reads this and has answers to any of my questions.
