Diving beetle community tank suggestions

I'm interested in putting together a tank including diving beetles. Who has kept them before & what other things can go in the tank. I've heard snails & crayfish and large shrimp are compatible. I would love a beautiful community tank for a group of diving beetles. Any suggestions are welcome.

These guys are pretty predatory, anything they can overpower is fair game to them (potentially even other beetles) so if you want a community tank you gotta feed them like heck. I'd say crayfish are good with them, apple snails might work, I wouldn't recommend shrimp. good luck on your endeavour though!

Crayfish are omnivorous and will eat the beetles if they can get their claws on them. They will also feed on any living plant material you've placed in there for the beetles to utilize. Shrimp and snails can become food for the beetles.

Are we talking large diving beetles, like Dytiscus or Cybister? If so I'd actually be more worried about the beetles eating the crayfish than the other way around.
