Just finished plexi glassing in the screened sides of my old Chameleon cage in anticipation of my Dhh larva pupating soon. I know some people don't think this is a great setup for Dhh, but I disagree. My purpose in even rearing these things was to do just that, rear them. Now that they are getting closer to making the transformation, I want to keep the environment as close to natural as possible. Once I get substrate, a couple of plants and some logs, leaves and twigs, and set up the lighting, it should be set. I may transplant them from their tub into this enclosure, so when they do transform and emerge, they will be right at home!

Depends what you want. If you want a display tank, add what you want, plants, logs, lighting, anything else that takes your fancy. If you want an easily managed breeding setup, use a deep lidded container of around 75l or more. Compress the substrate in the bottom 10-15 cm very firmly and fill up the tub to about 10cm from the top with lightly firmed substate. Add a few bits of bark or small logs for the adults to cling onto. D.h.h. will breed happily in this sort of setup and getting the eggs and larvae out wimm be much easier than in a display tank.
