Darkling beetle females dying for no reason?

Hi, i have a problem. I caught 2 females and 2 males of an eleodes sp, and 1 female and 1 male of an stenomorpha sp. After a week in captivity, all 3 females were dead, however, all males were alive. This is very sad, as the stenomorpha sp was really cool looking, and i might not get a chance to breed them again. The males were in the same cages as the females, were fed the same food, everything was the same. All the females showed no sign of being attacked, or eaten, their bodies were perfectly intact. Does anybody know why this happened? Any info on how to keep it from happening again? Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

No, I don't think so, because the males are all still alive, wouldn't at least one of them have them? Just in case, I will definitely look out for them.

I based my guess on the fact that tachinid larvae parasitize and kill beetles without leaving any signs of the victim being attacked, and the males not getting attacked was just a coincidence.

Ok, thanks very much for the info!
