Chrysina larvae- Do They Cannibalize?

I imagine under some circumstances Plusiotis may eat dead siblings but they are very unlikely to cannibalize.

Thanks, Orin! I temporarily had many larvae of P. gloriosa in a liter of dirt (about 3 days). They are separated now, but I was curious.

Hi Rene!

I have very few ova/larvae of P. lectonei. This was the most difficult species. They did not want to lay ova for me.

P. gloriosa did pretty well. I have not dug them all up yet, but I think I have 50+ larvae.

P. beyeri is still alive, so I have not done any digging in their LARGE container!

I also have some successes with other beetle species, but it is too soon to know because some adults are still alive and I do not dig until the last one dies.
