Artificial Pupal Cell for L. elaphus

I found that four of my giant stag beetle larvae pupated unexpectedly. Since I was not expecting pupation, they were not in a substrate that was conducive for pupal cell formation. I made them floral foam chambers, and I wanted to make sure I got the proper proportions. I have great success with the grubs, but I loose my stag beetles in their teneral adult phase. I am trying hard to get these four to breeding as I have the perfect mix of males and females.

If the beetles have left their pupal chambers, then should I be offering them food? I had thought they would stay in the chambers for a while before starting to run around.

No lol, they don't need food right away. If you put them in a regular container they will likely burrow for a few weeks.
