In my breeding guide, the difficulty rating is high, Cerambycidae feed differently as grubs, burrowing into trees, living and dead ones.
The log method is probably your best bet, but most people don't breed them because of the short lifespans of adults and the long time
it takes for grubs to mature. I have found large pine sawyer or prioninae grubs in firewood before, but at the time, I had no way to even
attempt to keep them going, now, I'd give it a go, but getting a mature beetle could take more than a year, likely longer. It would be interesting.
Many many years ago I had a female prionus beetle that laid one egg in it's cage, I kept it in sawdust for a month or so, until it expired.
