I had a bag of organic potting soil in my garage for a while now. However, it smells like ammonia but only a trace amount. Is there any way to reverse this?

Do you have a male cat around spraying territory, if so the smell can last a long time, just ask our carpet from way back, not now.

Nope! No cats.
Had to throw it out, it kept smelling stronger every time I mixed it. Went over my moms yesterday and saw that she had some organic soil. The ingredients are compost (not sure if there is manure or just organic matter), "forest products", seaweed, and shrimp. Never heard of such a blend. I'm going to give it a try for egg laying!
