    Anyone know about this species? Any tips on breeding them? Like... Do they require overwintering to mate (whIch would occur Im sprIng naturally). I found 2 males and a female. I've found this species before (and in much larger numbers) but it's been some time. They are awesome! So cool!

    Platycerus virescens

    These are oak stag beetles or mini stag beetles. I love these little guys and have collected quite a few of them (mostly in early 2011 though). Excuse the bad macro pics. I'll try to get better ones some day.
