I found some beetles as grubs and they recently emerged, they appear to be flower beetles but I'm not sure. Any ID would be great, and any care tips as well. Thanks!

If you've read the title you can prolly guess the question, I know you're usually only supposed to use rotten hardwood, but can a rotten vine log work too? It seems to have the same qualities as rotten wood, and for me it's much more easily acquired, so can this be used as a rotten wood...

My largest D. Tityus grub pupated today! He must've made a too small pupal cell since his horn looks bent, hopefully it won't affect breeding.

So I have an alaus oculatus pupa and I'm trying to figure out how to tell wether it's male or female, but there (of course) isn't much info on this species in terms of breeding, so is there any way to definitely tell?
