Help identifying grub?

Found this grub in a tree stump. This is the first grub I've found. Not sure what species it might be, and have been trying to research what the possibilities are. So far I can't seem to figure it out with comparing raster pattern photos online. Any ideas?

Yes sorry, I forgot to say I'm in Maryland. How large do the larvae get for that species?
