Insect Fairs in the northeast US

Does anyone know of any insect fairs in the Northeast US? Also pretty new to all anyone have any suggestions on easy beginner pets?

I would recommend Bess Beetles (Odontotaenius disjunctus) as an easy beginner pet. They eat decayed wood and their own frass (bug excrement) with minimal attention and fuss from their owners. And, they are large enough to impress the neighbors.
