How do I get rid of Fruit Flies?

Hi again. My beetles (2 male Ox Beetles) are doing fine and I have only one problem: Fruit Flies. How do I get rid of them? I already saw people saying they can lay eggs on the beetles. I don't want to keep killing them so how can I make them stop entering the beetle's cage?

uhh i just have my carnivorous plants and they kill most of them... but some wont come out and keep laying eggs so i just change the substrate

uhh i use beetle jelly because they are pretty cheap i can get them pretty cheap...

so i have no mold problems but for flies u mean FRUITFLIES OR FUNGUS GNAT... i dont mind fruit flies... i just open the cap in my greenhouse and my plants do the rest but i think you should maybe change the soil when u see tiny white larvae crawling on the bottom of the container... sorry i couldnt help you much... maybe putting newpaper between the lid and the container...

I've used this technique in the past.

1)Get a cup, and poor 1/2 of red wine

2)Place a slice of fruit inside the cup, but make sure it's above the wine level

3)wrap plastic wrap on the top of the cup

4)poke tiny holes in the plastic wrap

5)Waite 24 hours, then throw the cup out, it should be filled with fruit flys
