Just wondering if anyone knows of, or has looked into alternative feeding methods for wood and leaf loving larva/grubs like harlequin beetles, dynastes, Lucanus, and the like that feed on wood and leaf?

Its kind of a DIY thing, but my grandparents feed their fishing worms coffee grounds, would something like that work for smaller wood and leaf eating larva?

I was talking about non-wood and non-leaf alternatives that certain larva and/or beetles would eat in a environment like domestic containers like we grow them in.

I was wondering if stuff like fukers orange cube works?
I think some beetles like the cubes, but I doubt their larva will as the larva prefer something more soil like and not as moist. It could be worth a shot though.
