I know it's a character of stags, but those mandibles just look disproportionate on that beetle! Good luck with those. I'm still hoping to get up to my Oregon stag beetle locality to do some collecting before the mosquitoes come out (the place is very swampy).

These beetles are nice and gnarly. I haven't gotten piceus though; I have only found some Ceruchus that live in Californian mountains.
