Hi guys,
I have two D. tityus beetles, a male and a female. Both eclosed within a few days of each other (female Dec 24, male Dec. 28), and I've kept them in deli containers in a cool place to go through diapause. The female is still burrowed in the soil and has remained inactive, but the male has come to the surface recently. I'm unsure if he's ready though because he won't eat banana when offered, he burrows at room temp, and comes to the surface when kept cool. Does he just need a couple days to warm up/wake up before he'll be ready to eat? I've found it's very difficult to find information on the specifics of care around between eclosion and active adulthood, and I don't want to stress him by keeping him in the wrong environment.
