Blue-legged Jewel Scarab (Chrysina woodi), the first adult to emerge from my captive-bred F3 generation.  More will be emerging over the next several months.  In the wild, adults probably wouldn't start to become active until at least July.  This species is found in the mountains of far western TX, as well as a part of southeastern NM.  A really interesting, iridescent green beetle with gold legs, and metallic blue claws as sharp as needles.  Its natural host tree is a species of wild black walnut (Juglans microcarpa).

Good to see that these are doing well for you. I've also had 3 emerge over the past few weeks. Hoping they'll breed for me again this year.

 
Apologies for resurrecting an old post, but may I ask what you are feeding the adults?  Is it a steady supply of fresh Juglans leaves or do you supplement with anything else?

I found that they would readily accept pecan (Carya illinoinensis) leaves.  They will probably also eat hickory (also in the genus Carya), and definitely walnut (Juglans).
