(Concluded) Looking for a substrate quick!

Update: Substrate & other contents arrived safely and all together!! Very relieved, but I appreciate everyone's responses here and to those who directly messaged me. This has been a very informative experience!! I hope to learn more from this forum in the future!

Hi all, I'm new here, I haven't had the time to introduce myself quite yet.

But I'm in a real jam right now.

I had ordered a big bag of substrate for my new L3 giant stag larva, but once UPS got to the neighboring state, they've held my package for over a week. I finally got a hold of people from the Fish&Wildlife agency who finally told me whats happening to my package. It is now enrout to Kentucky for inspection,  which sucks because I also had armor gel in there... Now I'm not sure when or if I will ever get those products.

My larva is expected to arrive on the 31st (hoping the poor thing doesn't get held up as well) and I need substrate quick.

If I had known the extent of what was going to happen to the substrate i purchased, I would've tried making my own for the time being, but as a new owner, I dont want to make any mistakes in creating the substrate.

If anyone on here is has an online shop and can send a package asap, I'd appreciate it so much. I currently just need enough for a 6qt tank to hold me over for a little while.

Did you order the substrate from overseas by any chance?
Yes I did, from a recommendation for beetle supplies. I had assumed they've sold overseas before, but when I spoke with Fish and Wildlife , it seems some documents were missing that should've been on the package, and so now they have to do a physical inspection. Relatively annoying since UPS customs was holding the package for well over a week and didn't send to the F&W Hub until I started harassing for my package to be delivered 🙃

If you need substrate asap, I think bugsincyberspace.com has it in stock.
Thank you! I use to look at that website for bugs and stuff, but it tends to always appear to have low stock or sold out of mostly everything I go looking for. Maybe I just have bad timing, but I'll try to find more local shops instead of taking recommendations of overseas stores from now on!

Best to buy from a seller in your country or state for things that can get held up. I get Saturniidae livestock from overseas, but it's from

private individuals, not a company that might put their logo on the box. That is the first thing that kept me from trying to import live

beetles from Asia. Yes. I know. Skip it.

There are plenty of sources here in the states, just do a search, and something will turn up, Insect Brothers is one I just discovered.
