yeah i forgot vinagaroonie bred them too. still, not too many people are breeding them. good luck!
Yes I do, and like kelakk said, it's almost no work for me, just give them the right conditions I guess. I love mine, me and my sister sometimes make little racetracks for them XD

Awesome! Is it really mandatory to separate pupae from the main tanks? I'm debating about what to do with mine when (and if) they pupate.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I separated about half of them in case the ones pupating inside the main tank get eaten. So far they seem to be ok though. The ones pupating in the main tank are taking longer to become pupae though, so maybe there's too many disturbances.

Eventually the larva will find the pupa and eat them or damage the pupal cell, which, unlike scarab beetles, is merely a hole carved in the substrate, no hard casing at all to protect them.

They all decided to pupate at the same time though, every single larva has constructed a pupal cell. I really don't want to dig them up now, so I'm hoping that they don't get eaten.

That's ok, i am pretty sure they will be fine. My darkling larva seem to grow at different rates than each other, which would cause problems if i kept them in to pupate. but if yours are all pupating at the same time you should have no problems. good luck!
