WTB: Leaf insects, jungle nymphs, etc

Hello! I've never kept these before and I'm interested! I'd love one that don't fly preferably lol and advice on housing, temps humidity etc. I am in the US.

Many of these non-native phasmids are USDA restricted species because of their ability to reproduce parthenogenetically and their appetite on vegetations. You will need to have an USDA approved quarantine zone and a permit in order to keep these insects. I will advise you NOT to get them but if you did then please REFRAIN from taking them outside, throwing away their ova in the trash or down the drain, trade or sell them, etc. Once they get out, they may establish a population and become invasive species.

Oh wow, didn't know that! I have not bought any yet, and I have seen plenty of people in the US with them on insect groups on facebook, so I didn't even think of the restrictions. Thank you for the info. I'll definitely do more research before I look into getting any different kind of bugs! I'm a bit new to the insect keeping world, so thank you for the warning.

I understand that many people want to collect these exotic insects because I do too! However, a lot of people do not understand the potential negative impacts that these non-native species will induce once they get out of confinement. It is our duty as pet owners to understand the consequences of keeping exotic non-native species and make sure we do NOT release them, be it ova, larvae/nymphs, pupae, or imagoes.
