Wondering about a DIY hideout?

Hello all!

I'm interested in making a DIY hideout for my mixed species desert beetles enclosure.

Does anyone have experience with this, and can offer some suggestions? Are there any materials I should avoid or look out for? Would paper mache be dangerous? I initially planned on sculpting something out of clay, but I'd like to hear from you all!

Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated!

You can try making hideouts and other climbable objects with Lego!

If you're looking for a cheap alternative, half of a peat cup would work! I use it for most of my terrestrial tarantulas.
