there is fruit flys in my beetle terrrium and i caught a big fly aswell what do i do ): (IMPORTANT)

You can replace the soil. Also heat treat it to kill any pests or fungus gnat larvae.

Many may tell you that this process will kill beneficial microbes, which it might, but it will definitely get rid of pests.

Tried freezing the substrate but it never worked well. Pests always came back.

I went through the same thing a few years ago. I cleaned out my aquarium and you have to clean that aquarium spotless, bleach it, soak it, dry it, give a it a rest and make sure if you place anything back again, everything needs to be cleaned. I then did not bring in any outside material like leaves or sticks. And anything I brought in, including rocks, went in the oven first.  I buy name brand substrate, and always check to see if any unwanted creatures are in there. I also place a layer of sand in the bottom of the aquarium in case water sets on the bottom from the water dish. And the usual, water side, food side, and don't leave veggies in for a long time. And clean the area around your setup.  I placed my bugs in quarantine for a few weeks before returning to a new setup, to make sure they didn't bring back a mite. I think I got mine from bringing a bunch of isopods to my collection from outside.  Easy way- pick up another aquarium, set it up, and use that. Place the other one outside and clean it.
