Substrate and pupation

Oh wow, you must have had some pretty solid conditions for them. I'm hoping mine will emerge before I go away in a months time.

Actually, just a question out of sheer curiosity, do you guys know if they move often or if they're still most of the time? Also, do you know why they move? Just curious to know these things. I've been strongly resisting the temptation to check on my pupae, I keep worrying that because I found one of them the other night I killed it.

 
They are still most of the time. They only wiggle if disturbed, though they may sometimes change positions slowly when you aren't watching.
