Stag beetle wing stuck

My R. crenatus suddenly became extremely sluggish and unresponsive. When I inspected him, he had a piece of his wing stuck between his elytra and his antennae were tucked in.

As of now, his antennae are out, but he still doesn't respond to me touching them or his palps. He's also always rubbing his hind legs together and rubbing his back.

I'm assuming he might've gotten some substrate stuck under his elytra too, but I'm worried he'll be too tired to fly to fix his wings. Is there anything I can do or is he on his way out? 😞 I got him 2/3 weeks ago.

Was this after emerging?
No, I got him as an adult. His wings have always tucked in properly.

Sadly he passed just last night. Wouldn't eat either when I dabbed honey on his tongue or food.

Could it have been exhaustion that wore him out?
