Pretty Pissed

While reading the ingredients of my organic potting soil I find out that they added coir to it. Well, guess I can't feed this to my larvae! The one I used two years back did not have this ingredient in it and its discontinued. So pissed.

Coconut coir shouldn't harm them. At least it's never harmed anything I've kept with it. It may not provide any nutritional value.

I want to produce fat males with huge horns. If I mix rotting wood with a minimum amount of this organic potting soil, do I have a chance to grow majors? Looking into getting compost manure tomorrow. Could I use organic humus and manure?

The coir won't harm them, they may not even attempt to eat it, and if they did then it still shouldn't hurt them, it just has no nutritional value. As long as the majority of the substrate is good quality rotten wood and dead leaves, tn you should be good.

From what I understand, the potting soil is more of a filler substrate anyway.
